Varen Major, Undead Policing Programs
The lesser deity Pelldrop and Billy Bropp had epic battles, wherein Bill Bropp eventually lost. This city sprung up around one of their major battles. In the battle of Pelldrop’s Fall, it was widely assumed that Pelldrop had died in a swarm of Grave Golems. He nearly died, if not for the help of Nerull who intervened to replace Pelldrop with a decoy. For seven years Billy Bropp thought he had been successful, but Pelldrop rose again. This battle was considered one of the biggest turning points in the war. The city sits on the edge of the battle grounds, and exists as a sort of museum to the battle. It would be like living on the outside of the Taj Mahal. Lots of its income is from tourism, but also for people to pray to the fallen. It seems to be the village of outcasts.
LEADER DENTON YASSMANI – there really isn’t a governor or mayor. The settlement feels like more of a small camp than a city. He is the leader with a population of less than 350 people he also acts as judge and guildmaster. He is young for a leader, and looks like he really doesn’t want to be a leader. It’s taxing on him. But he likes the perks and attention. Imagine a chunky Colin Farrel .
DIGGS DIGGLER – he is a brash dwarf who lives alone (“some would say, permanently alone” and then he would laugh) to the west of the capital. He specializes in excavation, tunneling and mining. He finds Pelldrop’s Fall a great place, because it’s quiet but still has a lot of resources. He’s begun an AA group for people around the land to join who are trying to stay sober. He also has an interesting pet. A souvenir from one of his digs. It’s a Xorn. It’s small about the size of a beagle, and it’s very fat like a walking little basketball with stubby arms. It is constantly pestering visitors. He kicks it with impunity, and due to its DR … it can take the kick.
